A Few Attractions...

-National Museum of the U.S. Air Force: With over 1 million visitors yearly, the Air Force museum is one of the Dayton region’s most popular attractions. The museum houses the national historic property collection of the U.S. Air Force and contains more than 400 aerospace vehicles. It is the world's largest aviation history museum. Its galleries contain rare items and exhibits that connect the Wright brothers' legacy with today’s stealth and precision technology.

-Victoria Theatre: They present more than 300 performances each year. It operates three arts facilities: Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, the 219-seat Loft Theatre, and Victoria Theatre. Resident companies include the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Dayton Opera, Dayton Ballet, Human Race Theatre Co., Dayton Contemporary Dance Co., Rhythm in Shoes, CityFolk, and the Muse Machine. Touring companies and special events are scheduled throughout the year.

-Five Rivers MetroParks: Five Rivers MetroParks consists of 25 public, nature-based outdoor recreational facilities, located throughout the region. RiverScape, in downtown Dayton, is just one in this diverse group of parks and recreational centers. In summer, it spills over with an abundance of potted and landscaped plants and flowers. In winter, it is open for ice-skating. Events are scheduled each weekend, weather permitting. RiverScape is one of Dayton's most beloved parks. From RiverScape you can access the 22.5 mile River Corridor Bikeway that runs along the Great Miami River through several other MetroParks.

-Carillon Historical Park: Experience Dayton's rich heritage of creativity and invention! Enjoy their beautiful 65-acre campus weith 25 special exhibit buildings and structures ready for you to explore. See the actual 1905 Wright Flyer III, Dayton-made cash registers, vintage automobiles, train cars & bicycles, a 1930s print shop and the largest carillon in Ohio.

-Dayton Art Institute: One of the nation's finest, midsized art museums. The permanent collection includes works by American and European artists such as Bouguereau, Cassatt, de Kooning, Hopper, Monet, Rubens, Sheeler and Warhol, as well as galleries of Pre-Columbian, Asian, African and Oceanic works. A Dayton landmark, the DAI is located in an imposing Italian Renaissance-style building across the Great Miami River from downtown.
